Howdy, Everyone!
It’s that time of the month when the ICS Blog Hop happens! WooHoo! I love hopping with these ladies!!
Yes, it has been awhile since I posted anything again. Life has a way of doing that sometimes. I had lots of visitors during August and then also went to see my sister in Septemeber, who is slowly losing her battle with cancer. I’ll be leaving again next week for a long weekend. Sadly, it will be the last time I see her. Please bare with me and have patience if my posts are scattered for while. I’ll get myself on track again soon!
Ok, enough sad stuff…it is time for the monthly Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop and I am ready this month! It’s a color challenge and for me it was a time to get Happy for Halloween!
Here are the colors we needed to use:
Aren’t those some fun colors?! They totally screamed HALLOWEEN at me, so I went for it!
My Silver Metallic ink is on back order (yes, a necessary evil at times) and so I made do with all the other colors and tossed some Silver Metallic thread on there instead!
I used the new Harvest Hellos stamp set and matching punch for the pumpkins and sentiment. I also used a new technique…well, new to me…bubble wrap stamping. How cool is that?! I rolled a bit of bubble wrap onto my ink pad and then rolled it onto the card stock! Did I take a picture, you ask? Um, nope. 🙁 But I promise to next time, for sure! I plan on using this easy technique a few more times! Keep an eye out for it!
Another new thing I did was to use the Tailored Tag punch, which I affectionately call the Hampton Inn punch because it is shaped the same as their sign. 🙂 Kinda funny! I drive by there daily and it makes me want to go home and use this punch! So, today I did! I stuck a strip of cardstock across the middle of it and punched out what I actually needed since the punched image would have been way too big. Cool, eh? 2 new techniques in 1 post! I amaze myself. 😉
So, here is my card. What do you think? Please do comment below!
Supplies are listed below as well as other current Stampin’ Up! specials and information you need to know! For now, you can hop on over to Lisa Ann Bernard and see what these colors inspired her to create!
Thank you for reading and taking this crafting journey with me! It’s nice to have you along! Enjoy your Stampin’, Scrappin’, and Craftin’ journey! Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts about this project. Feel free to CASE my projects and share them in the comments! I love to see what others create!
