GSF Blog Hop – Outdoors
Howdy again!
The first week of any month is always full of Blog Hops for me! I love doing them! And since today is the first Friday of the month, that means it is time for the Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop! I truly love seeing what these talented demonstrators come up with each month! This month our theme is Outdoors…anything having to do with being outside is near and dear to me. I love nature! That’s why I love living in Montana…there is lots to see and do outside!
Since I am still in unpacking mode and have not found my die cutting machine, I needed to use what I had on hand…from my pre-order of the New Annual Catalog I used the Forever Greenery Suite products. I chose this suite because of all the cool leaves that can be used in so many ways for almost any project.
For this card I used the Forever Greenery DSP, Forever Fern stamp set, Forever Greenery Trim combo pack, and the Forever Gold Specialty Series Paper that came in the suite. Supplies are listed and linked to my store below. Here’s a simple, but fun card:
I wanted to add layers, yet without my die cutting machine, I was limited. So, I used the Forever Gold Specialty Series Paper. I colored the ribbon from the Forever Greenery combo pack by running over my Shaded Spruce and Pear Pizzazz ink pads. I love that I can change any Whisper White or Very Vanilla ribbon into the color I need for my project! Then I used the gold thread and wrapped it around the ribbon. I used a piece of the Forever Greenery DSP and then some vellum to mute the colors so I could stamp on it. I grabbed the Momento Tuxedo Black ink for the sentiment because I thought it might dry and hold better on the vellum. I haven’t worked with vellum in quite awhile, so I couldn’t remember what ink works best on it. Oh, and my card base is Pear Pizzazz cardstock.
That’s it for me today…back to unpacking and setting up the house…can’t wait to get to my new Creation Studio this weekend!! WooHoo! Pictures will be forthcoming!
It’s time for you to hop on over to Jenn Curtis Charles and see what she created for you. Have fun hopping on through the whole list…Enjoy!
Thank you for reading and taking this crafting journey with me! It’s nice to have you along! Enjoy your own Stampin’, Scrappin’, and Craftin’ journey! Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts about this project. Feel free to CASE my projects and share them in the comments below! I love to see what others create!
