Howdy, Everyone!
It’s time for our monthly Paper Pumpkin Possibilities Blog Hop! WooHoo! If you are just starting with me, or hopping from Dana Sullivan, thank you for joining us! I love seeing what cool alternates these amazing crafters come up with! I have been known to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) their ideas because they are so inspirational!
Let’s get started! This month was the first time Paper Pumpkin SOLD OUT before the end of the sales period. This is a HOT kit! It introduces us to the new In Colors for the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog that is coming out in a week! This kit uses the new 2020-2022 In Colors. Here is a picture of the cards it makes. I couldn’t find a better picture, so I just used this one. I usually make one of each, but I have been packing to move, and did not get the cards made. I moved Saturday.
As demonstrators, we get to pre-order items from the new catalogs before they go live, but this time the In Color inks were not part of that…so I am saying good bye to the out-going In Color inks of 2018-2020. They are Lovely Lipstick, Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, and Blueberry Bushel…all bright and yummy colors! You have until June 2nd to get your hands on them and their accessories HERE.
I only used the stamp set and one skeleton page from the kit to show off how versatile it is…this was fun!
Many will use that U as part of the rainbow, but with all the texting people do, this is what popped into my mind. Psst, I do not text like that because I am a teacher and it drives me bonkers, but it is what came to my mind first thing when I opened my kit. It needs a comma too, but I’m ignoring that. Hahaha!
I sponged the center with the Pineapple Punch and then worked my way out to the edge with the Grapefruit Grove, Lovely Lipstick, then the Blueberry Bushel. I was going for a sunset-ish look since it’s a “Goodbye to the In Colors” card and a Retirement card for a friend. (Sure trust she gets it before she reads this!) I sponged the green around the bottom edges of the base. I have made this card with the cut angle going down, but decided to flip it to help show off the cool clouds. I tapped out all the clouds and tag from the kit and used the outline/skeleton page to sponge the clouds in Blueberry Bushel. Then sponged some of the sunset colors around the clouds. I stamped the “Hey’ and ‘amazing’ in Call Me Clover after cutting the “you’re” off. Yes, I did that. You can blame Jessica Cruz de Urrutia and Connie Stewart…I learned it from them. 😉 The U and R are stamped in Lovely Lipstick. The R is from Make a Difference alphabet stamp set. Lastly, I added a few rhinestones to give it a little extra bling. The layer is popped up with dimensionals to give it, well, dimension.
That’s it for me today. Supply list is below. Let me know what you think of it in the comments! Always nice to hear from others!
Now it’s time to hop on over to my friend, the lovely Flying Stamper, Deb Naylor. Enjoy the rest of the hop! See you next time!
Thank you for reading and taking this crafting journey with me! It’s nice to have you along! Enjoy your own Stampin’, Scrappin’, and Craftin’ journey! Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts about this project. Feel free to CASE my projects and share them in the comments below! I love to see what others create!Â
