ICS Blog Hop – It’s a Girl Thing – Monochromatic Style
Howdy Everyone!
It is that time again! Inspire, Create, Share Blog Hop time! I have missed this one the last couple months as well! So good to be back hopping with these lovely ladies! Let’s get right to it!
This month stumped me for a bit…monochromatic usually does. Then on Saturday night I was thinking about what stamp set I should use…and I had already picked the color Lovely Lipstick because I had this fun skinny ribbon to go with it. Then I remembered I also had the 2018-2020 In Color DSP pack and it would have the Lovely Lipstick as well! Ideas began to swarm in my head and this is what happened…
Don’t you love it?! I do!
Want to know how I gave her a polka dot dress? I stamped the image on the DSP in black and cut out the dress and hat all as one piece! Then I stamped the image on Whisper White cardstock and adhered the dress over the image! Paper dolls, anyone? 🙂
That’s it! Super simple and I think appropriate for the times! I am thinking that I have plenty of paper to make these in all the In Colors! Since they are about to retire…now is a good time to use up the DSP and cardstock! This In Color set has been one of my favorites, EVER! Love the bright colors!! I know a lot of lovely ladies that would enjoy a card like this right now to remind them of what’s important!
On the inside…I chose a little surprise message and left the main part blank for a personal note! I do have to tell you that I stamped it upside down the first time. HAHAHA! Go figure!
Now it is time to go hopping off to Janey Backer’s Grapefruit Grove creation! Looks like a number of us chose to use the 2018-2020 In Colors…that was not prearranged…just a great minds think alike kind of thing! 😉
Thank you for reading and taking this crafting journey with me! It’s nice to have you along! Enjoy your own Stampin’, Scrappin’, and Craftin’ journey!
