Howdy!
It is time for another Paper Pumpkin Blog Hop…we love doing them so much that we have become a monthly hop instead of the occasional hop! Yay! I like the idea of doing this monthly! It will help me create an alternative project for my newly started Paper Pumpkin Club!
Let’s get to it! This month is a wonderful kit with gorgeous pictures of succulents. This AZ girl has always liked succulents and the variety of colors and textures they show off! So this kit was a treat!
Here are the cards from the kit as they were designed…which were really lovely and hard to think of a way to change/alter them!
Then, before I came up with an alternative, I got a bit stamp happy and went all out on the inside of the cards and then matched the envelopes like this…
So, now it is time to reveal my alternative project for this February kit. Thanks to Jan B. from the UK, I have gone a tad crazy for new kinds of folded cards! She is great at explaining and easy to follow! This one is called a Dutch Fold Card and you can see her in action here. I have now made 3 of her cards and plan to make many more!! I still need to post the others and will do that this week!
First photo is what it looks like closed-ish without laying it down flat.
This is the inside…
This is how it stands to be better able to view it and leave it for others to see.
The only additions to this card that didn’t come in the kit are some Lemon Lime Twist and Fresh Fig cardstock. Everything else came from the kit! Isn’t it such a neat idea for a standing card? I’ll be making more of these Dutch Fold cards for sure because I like how it takes the card to the next level!
If you have been thinking about signing up for this awesome monthly kit, NOW is the time! Next month is Paper Pumpkin’s Birthday and they always do something extra special for their birthday! This year it is a second stamp set in each kit! I love that it’s a surprise as to what I get in my box each month, and yet it is nice to have little hints like they did last month. This time they are telling us this to get us excited:
- The March kit features eight full-sized, mailable cards
- Coordinating colors are Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, and Poppy Parade
- This kit has an element that is sure to “pop”!
- The FREE stamp set is even bigger and better than your typical Paper Pumpkin stamp set and can be used on a variety of crafting projects.
I’m thinking the “pop” may mean a pop up card. What do you think? I’m excited, are you?!?!
That’s all I have for now. Thank you for reading and taking this crafting journey with me! It’s nice to have you along! Enjoy your Stampin’, Scrappin’, and Craftin’ journey and feel free to share and CASE with me! I love to see what others create!

Blessings, June
