Aloha R&R

Hello, All!

We made an impromptu camping trip to Yellowstone over the weekend and had a blast! It did require some prep time, hence the lack of posts again. School starts tomorrow, so I will have more time for almost a week before I start substituting again. I am already booked 3 days next week. My plan is that any days that I am not subbing, I will be working on Stampin’ Up! as well as scrapbooking and therefore, blogging!

Right now I am not feeling so great, but I really wanted to get this blog post in for this challenge because I have worked on it 3 times! I sat down and worked on it 2 other times and just didn’t get inspired or was just not happy with what was coming together on this page. So this will be quick and straight to the point because earlier, when I sat down to work on this page, it just flowed right out of me and I was feeling pretty confident and happy with the results! 3’s a charm, right?!

This is one of the pages from my Dad’s Life Album. Not everything in it is SU!, but that is ok. I have tons of scrapbooking stuff that I have had long before I even heard about SU!.

The challenge is August Blend-A-Sketch Challenge for Scrap Our Stash. I think this is the first time I have entered something with them since I haven’t really scrapbooked much since leaving Tucson in 2015.

Here is the sketch:

And here is my scrapbook page:

So, I needed to blend these 2 sketches together and use arrows.

I used the diagonal from the left sketch and did some tearing for my left corner and then placed the title on top of the pictures.

I used the stacking of the photos and the journaling box on the side as well as the rest of my title from the sketch on the right.

My arrows go across the top and along the right side of the page.

What do you think? I am pleased with how it turned out!

Enjoy the rest of your evening! I am headed upstairs to lay down and get rid of this nausea. Until next time…

Happy crafting!

Blessings, June
