Howdy!
I am on a roll! It’s a little past due, so it feels very good!
I had a very fun and cool thing happen this summer. A first, for sure! Let me tell you a bit about it…
About 4 years ago I started playing Words With Friends on my phone. I ended up playing a person called “Plantnerd.” We played for a few months and one day she complimented me on a word in the texting section. A conversation ensued, regularly. It was fun. We shared hobbies, food recipes, family life, and more. It has been a friendship building up to a wonderful visit and meeting in person this summer! Her and her husband did some traveling and planned to see Glacier Park (my neighbor) during their travels. They stopped by my house while my whole family was here and we all enjoyed a BBQ dinner together. It was crazy and fun and exciting all rolled into one! She and I were both tickled about meeting each other even though we both heard from our family and friends that we were crazy and may be have been playing with a loony person. Well, neither of us are loony in the bad way that folks meant and it turned out so wonderful!! It was even her birthday that day! Truly crazy! I should have run downstairs and got her a card, but she said she doesn’t like to make a big deal of it, so I didn’t!
Recently, she posted on fb that she started going to the library and reading real books again…not just ebooks. She also said that she didn’t have any book marks! What!?! How is that possible? I am an avid Book reader and have tons of bookmarks! So…I made her one!
It also turns out that this was a color challenge for Color Throwdown #456
These colors were so fun together and they just screamed ice cream to me! I used the Sprinkles of Life stamp set and added flowers to her ice creams scoops…her name is “Plantnerd” after all, right?! (she’s a Horticulturist) The colors were this
So I used Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, and Lemon-Lime Twist from Stampin’ Up! They make such a yummy trio!! And this time, the yellow didn’t give me any hiccups! I must be overcoming that yellow issue I had!
So, now I need to get this popped into the mail to “Plantnerd” so she can keep reading real books and not lose her place.
Happy crafting!
Blessings, June

Thank you, Broni! I hadn’t thought of that, but I trust she does!
