Color Challenge – I used SU! colors

Good Afternoon!

WooHoo! I had a very productive weekend in the craft room!! It felt so very good to get back to my card making and playing! I have a bunch of 50th birthdays coming up for friends and family, so I figured I should start there. And, since I was starting up again, I figured I should go whole hog and jump into some challenges.

I found a new Challenge site called Color Throwdown…sounds so exciting! And the color combo was a fun one! White, Aqua, Light Pink, and Lavender…fun and refreshing! From my Stampin’ Up! colors I chose: Tempting Turquoise, Powder Pink, Whisper White, and Perfect Plum…they were the ones I thought got the closet to the color palette they showed.

I chose to do some water coloring because that seems to be the new thing! I also used a sketch from a different challenge, but I used too much background color for that challenge, so I made another similar card for that challenge and will post that after this one.

I think it turned out pretty good for a first time water-color back ground for me. I think I need  to do more of that and see if I can improve my skills…so watch out world! The perfect plum is not as bright as the sample palette, but it is as light as I could make it. Thought about using the Wisteria Wonder, but it seems darker…which is strange because it is in the Subtle category for  Stampin’ Up! Now I am thinking I should have water colored the Wisteria to see if it got lighter. Oh, well. Next time I will know better. I like this card and I am sure my friend Anna will too!

I am making a committment to this and myself to do this blogging regularly! I have so much I want to share with you! I took pictures of packing up all my crafting stuff and want to share how I packed it up for those of you who may be facing the same thing!

So, chat with you soon! Enjoy your day! Happy crafting!

Blessings,
