Happy Valentine’s Day!
It’s been a crazy one for me! Subbed 3rd grade and did their party before PE, then during PE, I ran over to my own son’s class (I’m Room Mom) and ran the Saran Wrap Ball game for the 6th graders before going to get my class from PE to go home. Crazy, chaotic day that worked out all around! And, overall, a fun day!
So, I had made this card to send to my folks for Valentine’s Day. Not sure if they got it in time, have not heard from them yet.
Anyway, I used the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlits and really love the Blackberry Bliss and Pink Piruette together. I know, Blackberry Bliss is retired, but it is one of my favorite colors, so I still use it at times. I also used the Timeless Textures and Gorgeous Grunge stamp sets for the background. I love those 2 sets, especially together!
With this thinlit, you have to use the new Big Shot Die Brush! It really helps get all those little pieces out of the cutout! What an awesome invention that brush is! If you don’t use it, you may find yourself spending lots of time knocking out all the little bits of paper! Truly, it is worth the money!
This card was originally made for a challenge called Pink and Pearls, but I didn’t get it blogged in time for the deadline. Bummer! Just had too much going on with all the sub days I have been getting, which I am not complaining about, they just keep me from the computer. Back to the card…I kinda like how I placed the pearls in this unusual manner! Usually I use the pearls on the flowers and wanted a different look…I got it!
The sentiment was from a Paper Pumpkin kit called Bold Botanicals. I am finding I really like having the Paper Pumpkin stamp sets in my stash! I end up using them more than I thought I would. They have lots of sentiments that are general use and the fonts vary! Plus, they are often small enough for what I need. Weird, I know!
So, what do you think? I really have no criticism for myself on this one…maybe could have distressed the edges, since I usually like to for grounding/framing purposes, yet overall, I am pleased with the card! Any suggestions are always welcomed!
Off to finish making dinner! Until next time! Happy Stampin’!
Blessings, June

(I am so excited that I figured out how to show you the pictures of what I used and if you click on the blue, you will go right to the website to see more info and be able to order it! Now to figure out how to do the little squares like I have seen on other blogs! But, hey, 1 improvement at a time! I did tell you I was not super tech savvy! I’m a work in progress! Enjoy!)
