Hello and Happy Tuesday!
I finally had a chance to play with my Swirly Scribbles Thinlits Dies! WooHoo!! I saw this card on Pinterest from Closet Stampin’ with Jayme Ziemer. I can’t seem to find the picture of the card because it was from way back in May of last year. Found it on the challenge site, just not on hers. I saw the card through a challenge group she participates in called Try Stampin’ On Tuesday and thought it was a perfect jump-start for me to get a feel for this thinlet set! I have been pinning all kinds of cute cards for this set and really hadn’t jumped in yet. This was my first attempt.
I did end up altering colors a little bit and used a different sentiment as well. I also used the Stitched Shapes Framelits. LOVE< LOVE< LOVE those framelits for sentiments!!! As I look back at these cards…I am being critical here…I see that lighter colors on the pink background paper were not the best way to go! I was attempting to conserve paper and sometimes that makes me do too many of one color/size and not enough of the other. I just really dislike wasting paper! I really need to challenge myself to use up all my dang scraps that I refuse to throw away! Haha!
Back to the cards…the sentiment was from a Paper Pumpkin box and was part of the free Everything anniversary set last March. That’s a great one I should play with more, too!
Overall, I have some very nice Birthday Cards to send out and am happy for the inspiration to use that Swirly Scribbles set!
So, what do you think? Be honest! I can take it! I already was critical myself, so you can make suggestions as well!
Happy stampin’ and crafting! Enjoy the rest of your Tuesday!
Blessings, June
PS. I will be checking out the challenges on Try Stampin’ On Tuesday! They look fun! Stayed tuned to see what they inspire!
