Hello, Folks!
I trust all is well for you! I have been subbing quite a bit and was also sick for a week. My hubby was kind enough to share his head cold with me, after he had it for a week. Ugh! Not fun!
Now I am back and ready to do some more blogging!
Here is a card I made for my God Daughter in Berlin. She just turned 18 and I wanted a special card for her. For the main card I used one of my Paper Pumpkin cards that had a banner to go with it. I know she loves to hang things on her walls and knew she would love the banner. It says ‘Happy” and I know she is quite happy in her life right now!
For the inside, I did a pop up card. This was my first attempt and I think it is something I need to work on more often! I used a diagram that I found on Pinterest to make it. Not the best, will need more practice on it, but overall, I think it turned out pretty nice. At least I got the 18 to jump out at her when she opens the card.
I distressed the edges, because, well, it’s just a thing I like to do to feel like it is finished. I do it especially when I am dealing with white or light colors. To me, it frames it in and finishes the card or scrapbook page off. I then added more of the washi tape from the front to tie it all in.
This was just a quickie to share her card with you. Time for bed!
Enjoy your Friday tomorrow! WooHoo! TGIF!!
Blessings, June
