Hello Everyone!
Happy Birthday, Martin Luther King, Jr! We have off from school today, so…here is another challenge layout.
This was very different and a first for me! I liked it! It’s from Scrap Our Stash, another challenge blog that I like to participate in. Yes, I had this one done on time and never made it to the computer. Ok, I am still new at all this, so I am cutting myself some slack. There is probably an easier way to do all this, however my steps are as follows: I do the page, I take a picture with my phone, I then use Phonto to put my name on it (which it looks like I missed this one! And maybe all the others, gosh darn it, too late now!), then I have to email it to myself, download it to the computer, and then create the post and blog about it. That is a lot of steps that I would like to figure out how to make easier. If you know…I am all ears!! I probably could just use my phone, but I find that hard because I can’t see everything in one fell swoop like I can on the computer! So, in my defense, I did all these pages for challenges and then with my son home from school, I never made it to the computer. Heck, I didn’t even do the Phonto part until the other day…and apparently have forgotten to download those and have ended up using the regular photos. Sheesh! I will learn this stuff! One day, I will! Newbie, I know!!
Ok, back to this cool challenge! They gave us the book cover of the Grinch and said we had to add striped paper and enamel dots OR sequins. Well, enamel dots it is because sequins for a camping layout just seemed ridiculous! Hahaha!
First I stamped the back ground using the Glamper Greetings camper (still available!). Found some striped paper that added some color and looked outdoorsy. Then the enamel dots that color coordinated with the papers. The friend from the same crop that the trees came from also had this awesome grass die-cut…so I borrowed it and made tons of grass in many different shades of green! You’ll see in other posts that I used it a number of times! Plus, I still have some left over for my own Yellowstone album! Sweet!
This was fun and such a cool idea! many folks went with Christmas, so I thought I did pretty good with a camping/glamping theme! What do you think??
Enjoy your day!
Blessings, June
