Game Time!

Happy Tuesday, Everybody!!

Here is another sketch challenge that I worked on this past weekend! It’s another page for my sister’s Yellowstone album. If I don’t keep doing these sketches and stretching my creativity, the rest of the album may not be as exciting! Hahaha! Just kidding! My own stuff isn’t so bad!

The sketches are very motivating and I have been rounding up sketches on Pinterest for the future when I just can’t think of anything! It’s always nice to have sketches to fall back on!!

So, I took this sketch and flipped it sideways for my 8×8 album because it matched the picture much better! I just realized that I did not use a whole lot of SU! products on this one…oops! I did use my black journaling pen from the Project Life section…BEST PEN EVER, by the way! And the polka dot paper is also from a retired DSP set. The red and green cardstock may also be from SU! since I grabbed it out of my scrap basket and it is full of mostly SU! papers. Other than that, I could not even tell you where the card stock came from. I have a pack of 8×8 card stock that I am using for this album that I bought…oh-so-long-ago! I keep it in a plastic box, so the paper label is gone. Oh, well!

That ribbon flower was a bugger to make! At first I tried putting it on my poker. didn’t work. Then I just held the pieces together in the middle, got it on the poker (after about the 4th or 5th time of making the darn thing) and then took it off to put the brad in the hole. Nope! That didn’t work either because the brad legs kept bending! Finally, I got smart and used mini glue dots to hold the centers together and then cut off the brad “legs” and used a thicker glue dot to stick the brad flower onto the ribbon! That worked so much better! I wonder why it took me so long to figure it out!

The border along the blue edge is just my trusty black pen and some scribbles on short drawn lines. I really like the look of it! Added just the right touch, don’t you think?!

So, I had written the Game Time title and now realized I have bookoo alphabet stamps I could have used instead! Next time!

Off to more crating! Enjoy the rest of your day!

Blessings, June
