Thank You Kindly

Good Friday Morning!

Made this card last night. I needed my 3rd card for my Card Class on Sunday and happened across a blog called Sketch Saturday. It’s another challenge blog and sounded fun! I think I am on a roll with challenges. They are fun and inspiring! Here is the sketch:

I used the new Thoughtful Branches stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Come August it will be available as a bundle with the matching framelits. I really love this set! This is my 3rd card in less than a week of getting the set! You can check it our here.

I also used the new In Colors that just came out in the annual catalog. The ones I used are Emerald Envy, Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach, and the birds are Dapper Denim. I used a strip of Playful Pallette DSP , as well. Very Vanilla and Basic Black finish it off. The rhinestones on the decorative label punch where the sentiment is top it off. Inside I kept it simple and just stamped Thank you. I also used the leaf pattern inside across the top and bottom. I have a hard time leaving the inside of a card blank except for verbiage.

I also chose to vary my usual card style and made this one to open in front. It took me awhile to figure out the measurements of where to score it, but once I did…it worked marvelously! I like how it looks and may find myself doing this style more often! I am really attempting to widen my repertoire of card styles instead of the usual.

For this card you have to score each end 2 3/4 inches from the outside edge. The tree is tucked just behind the label to keep it from falling open.
