Cute Wedding Card

Hubster came home the other day saying he needed a wedding card for a guy at work! I am loving the fact that he is even thinking about giving cards! Plus, the fact that he only thinks of giving mine, warms my heart!

Hadn’t made a wedding card in quite a while and discovered I don’t have any wedding stamp sets. So, I took a gander at Pinterest, where I go to get my creative juices flowing when I feel stuck…saw some similar to this and I thought I would see what I could create! I think it turned out quite cute!

I used Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock. Satin ribbon and the Lovely Lace embossing folder. The heart punch took care of the hearts. I had to hand cut the black heart around the white one to help it stand out. Used the strip of pearls for the necklace. The guy’s shirt was cut from the center of a plain white heart. The tie was the trickiest because of snipping something so tiny…it took 2 times to get one that looked decent. Used a black PL journal pen (my fave!) for his buttons. I also used a black dauber to edge the lace embossed piece. I just love distressing stuff! The “Congratulations” is from a Paper Pumpkin set and I stamped it on the satin ribbon with Staz On black ink. On the inside I wrote in calligraphy “…on tying the knot!” I am pleased with it…what do you think?
